Accessibility audits, WCAG 2.2 AA across the product, with remediation in the same engagement.

Accessibility findings die when the audit is a PDF and the engineering team has no bandwidth for the remediation. We audit the product against WCAG 2.2 AA and ship the fixes alongside the report. The output is a more accessible product, not a backlog of new tickets.

What we build

  • Audit against WCAG 2.2 AA across all flows

Primary user flows tested against every WCAG 2.2 AA success criterion. Per-flow report with severity, scope, and proposed remediation. Not 'aria-label missing on line 42'; the actual user impact and the fix shape.

  • axe-core automation plus manual screen reader

axe-core automated checks land 30-40% of findings; the rest come from manual testing with NVDA on Windows + VoiceOver on macOS + iOS. Real assistive tech, not just lighthouse checkmarks.

  • Color contrast checked per token, not per screen

Token combinations validated for contrast at the design-system level. New surfaces using approved combinations inherit the compliance. Drift surfaces in the token review, not in a per-screen audit later.

  • Focus management for complex components

Modals, comboboxes, dropdowns, tabs, the components where focus management goes wrong most often, audited and remediated against the WAI-ARIA Authoring Practices. Keyboard-only users get the same product experience as mouse users.

  • Remediation shipped in the engagement

Critical + high findings get fixed during the engagement, not handed off. The audit report includes the PR links for what's already shipped. Medium and low findings ship as a triaged backlog with effort estimates.

  • Documentation + standards for the next surface

Per-component a11y notes added to Storybook. The team builds the next surface accessible by default, not accessible after a re-audit.

Where this fits

  1. Your product is up for procurement at a customer who requires WCAG 2.2 AA conformance.

  2. Your team has shipped fast and accessibility was on the backlog the whole time; now a regulator is starting to ask.

  3. You're selling into education, government, or healthcare and accessibility is a contractual requirement.

Tech stack
