Naming, the word the team says a thousand times a day, picked with intent.

Naming is the highest-leverage word choice the team makes. Wrong name and every customer conversation starts with explaining what it means. Right name and the product introduces itself. We do naming with linguistic frameworks, trademark pre-screening, and pronunciation testing across the markets the product will sell into.

What we build

  • Brief shaped against the audience + positioning

Before generating names, we anchor on the audience, the positioning, and the categories the brand is associated with. Names get evaluated against the brief, not against 'we like how this sounds'.

  • Linguistic frameworks beyond made-up words

Real-word, descriptive, evocative, abstract, founder-named, each pattern with examples and trade-offs. We surface the option spread, not just the founder's preferred direction.

  • Trademark pre-screening

Shortlist candidates pre-screened against USPTO, EUIPO, and WIPO databases. We don't promise the trademark filing will succeed (that's lawyer work); we make sure we're not picking a name with an obvious conflict.

  • Domain availability checked

.com first, sensible alternatives second. Domain availability ranked alongside trademark; the team doesn't fall in love with a name that's not actually buyable.

  • Pronunciation tested in target markets

If the product sells in NL + DE + US, the name gets pronunciation-tested in each. Names that work in English and break in Dutch don't make the shortlist.

  • Backed by the strategic recommendation

The deliverable is a shortlist of 3-5 named with the reasoning behind each, a recommendation, and the second-best alternative. Not 50 made-up words and a vibe.

Where this fits

  1. You're launching a new product or feature and the working name is starting to feel permanent.

  2. Your company name was picked in week one and the rebrand to land the next phase needs to start there.

  3. Your team is naming a new feature and the engineering team has been calling it 'the thing' for two sprints.
